    Are Wix air filters any good? are they comparable to genuine VW ones the local motor factors stocks them at £11 just wondered if they were any good and are they as good as the genuine part?

    Much better than any generic crap imho and about the same price.

    wix filters are one of the oldest makes of filter . i use them all the time with no problems at all. http://www.wixfilters.com/AboutUs.aspx?ct=auhi
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    Wix filters are fine I change oil filter every 5k and all filters every 10k.

    We used to use Wix filters when I was an apprentice, back in the late sixties, never any problems with them. If the company are still going then they must be ok.
