    Hi does anyone know the location of the OBD port on a 98 a4 cabriolet. I have a OBD2 code reader I hope its the same port and not the old style. Thanks all

    Have a nosey here - VAG-COM/OBD Port locations not sure if your car was before they time they all moved to above the accelerator pedal but look there too.

    I'm not 100% sure but I think the cabriolet had the 2 plug dlc under the bonnet on the drivers side?

    Just to avoid confusion to anyone reading this thread, the 1998 cab/convertible is known as just that, 1998 con/cab, as based on the B4/80 model.
    This car is not an A4 cab/con, the 80 cab/con ran up to 2000, whereas the A4 cab/con started 2002.
    Not being smart but wouldn't want anyone giving the original poster info relating to A4 rather than 80/B4.
    I am only guessing but I think the earlier cars were the old style diagnosis set up when the later (A4) would be OBD1/11
