Hi guys I needed some help with replacing my ECU. I seemed to have developed a problem where my car keeps cutting out and keep getting different fault code of things that do not even exist on my car, it’s come down to replacing the ECU and when sourcing a used ECU there seems to be a big difference in prices from the part numbers. I have a Bosch EDC15P+ part number 0 281 010 702, vw part number 038906019 FG ECU in my car the last two letter of the part number are the once that differ from ECU to ECU. I wanted to know what other part number ECU i can use in my car? I am aware i need to have my ECU reprogrammed to match the immobilisers on the car.

    My car details
Vw Bora TDI 130 PD SE 1.9 2001 engine code ASZ

anything from any1? does anyone know anything about copying the map and placing the copied map onto another Ecu? I was looking at buying this cable to copy from my old ecu and replace onto another ECU with a simulator part number but not the exact same.

ECU Chip Tuning Remapping Flashing Tool, BMW & VW 018 | eBay

would this work? include copying the immobiliser info?

On another forum? That ECU is limited to that application and must be replaced like for like or the latest number which is 038 998 019 A and this is for up to mid 2002 ASZ only.
