    hi guys i have a audi a3 2.0 tdi 2004 the power steering lights is on the dash the orange steering wheel and the steerin feels a tad heavy icant for the life of me find the fluid resivior location any help will be good for me thanks

    if its anything like the fabia i have just done with the same problem, its under the battery tray but just visible between it and the wing. this one was pretty empty.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    Think you'll find its electric so doesn't have a pump,will need plugging into diagnostix.

    hmm, not sure, but i think its the same as the fabia, which is electric, but is a conventional hydraulic system with an electric pump rather than belt driven pump. low oil level, air in system, low pressure, warning light comes on.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    It's electromechanical power steering. No fluid, electric motor on the steering rack.

    As vikingraider says it's electromech.
    Get a fault scan and see if you can clear the fault.
    I had to change the rack on my daughters A3 for a pump fault.

    cheers guys the oil preure light is on aswell also the brake lights are on do you guys think this as anything to do with it

    Get the car scanned for faults.
    Brake light switch could of failed.
    Is it oil pressure or oil level light on
    Is it amber or red?

    hi mate yeh ive just had the brake switch done but my mate hasnt had chance to clear the codes yet, its a red oil presure light whats the diffence between the red and the amber light? and i hear these brake switch can cause some problems at first my accelerator wasnt workin until i got it fixed

    Red light is low pressure, amber light is low level.
    I wide not drive the car until the pressure is checked.
    It could be a faulty pressure switch
