Stupidly lost my spare key. Had it one minute, gone the next. Could have been lost / taken.

Have put a stoplock bar on the steering wheel for now.

Question:- I will get a replacement key and it coded from the dealers soon but can they make sure the lost key can be deactivated?

If no, then I will forever be worried as I park where I lost it frequently and mine is probably the only VW parked there often.

Atleast I am glad that the doors / boot don't have easily accessible mechanical key slot's.

Any reassurance or advice would be welcome

Yes, when you code keys to the car ANY key not present and coded at the same time will be wiped, obviously it will still open the car but it will not start it anymore.

Keys are usually around £160 supplied and coded by a dealer.
