Looking to install new audio head unit into my 2004 TT Roadster. When I purchased the car the original Concert head unit had already been replaced with an all singing all dancing multi changer SatNav which was just too complicated for me.I just want a single CD with Bluetooth and iPod connectivity. Any recommendations for an after market one that would be compatible. Did look at getting another Concert from an Audi dealer but they quoted me over £500 and I can't stretch that far "/ Cheers

    Whats your budget?

~£100 would get you one of these - Sony MEX-BT2900 New for 2011 Bluetooth car stereo, Front Aux Input - MEX-BT2900 from Sony

Bluetooth handsfree, cd, radio, aux input, bluetooth music streaming - my neighbour has one of these fitted in his van and it is very good quality and the bluetooth streaming (and calls) are top notch.

Cheers, Anything up to about £200, would the Stereo cover door be able to close with the Sony? Also guy from Halfords said that not all stereos are compatible with the Bose sound system, would the one you've mentioned be ok?

Not sure, I'm sure halfords would be happy to try headunits in your car before purchase - no idea on the BOSE sorry, although you could get a replacement Concert headunit from a trusted seller on eBay.

Been looking on eBay, can't find a truly compatible one, mainly because of the stereo cover, also most of the concerts I've seen on eBay are being sold without codes and as I have discovered unless yo have the original VIN and registration from the car the unit came out of Audi don't help with the unlock code "( Halfords have offered to try different units for me and if any of them don't fit/aren't compatible there is no charge or obligation to buy. They only do this for Audi's and certain BMWs as compatabilitt issues are common problem for people looking for aftermarket units in these cars, might be worth passing that info on ") Thanks for your help anyway .

Try http://www.crutchfield.com. You can go to the "Car Audio, Video & GPS" tab and select "Find What Fits Your Car", and it'll show you most of the car audio options you can use for your car (head unit/amps/subwoofers). The site will also take your Bose system into consideration. I just recently purchased '02 Audi TT Quattro, with a Bose system, and Crutchfield helped me pick out the Alpine CDE-HD137BT, but I might change my mind and go with the Sony MEX-BT4000P (because it let'll me change the display color to match my interior. lol). However, most of the fits are going to be "modified fits". The good thing is that Crutchfield will often times throw in installation gear. Crutchfield helped me with selecting my head unit, but I'm shopping around EBay/Amazon/etc for better deals, but I might just buy from them because of the free installation equipment.

Thanks to all for their advice on the replacement head unit. I'm happy to report that I managed to get a compatible used Audi Concert head unit from EBay (3rd time lucky!!) and even managed to install it all by myself ") Just hoping that the Kenwood CD changer I already have works with it ! I am now looking for the plastic cover for the soft top storage compartment, can anyone help?
