    Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right section to post this in but, I think it would get more exposure here.

Basically I've started to put a WIKI together for the VW repair wires as I'm fed of paying £2.40 each for them from the Audi Dealer and got a friend who works with electronics to do some digging and I have managed to find the manufacturer codes for a few of these repair wire pins so you can make them up yourself for a fraction on the price.

    VW Repair Wire - 000 979 009
    Tyco Part No - 963715-1
    RS Part No - 680-5407
    Farnell Part no - 1330225

    VW Repair Wire - 000 979 133
    Tyco Part No - 929937-3
    RS Part No - 718-1042
    Farnell Part no - 2060351

    VW Repair Wire - 000 979 021
    Tyco Part No - 927779-3
    RS Part No - 718-1070
    Farnell Part no - 2060345

The Farnell website www.farnell.com has all the technical drawings for the pins so finding if they are the correct ones is a little easier. One thing I did notice was that pins for the fusebox and interior lighting harnesses are more commonly known as "Junior Power Timer" connectors with the automotive world as i've seen people struggle to find these within other posts on different forums.

As I find out more of these pins I will update the list.

Hope this is helps someone in the future.

If anyone has any more part numbers? As i've started to compile an excel spreadsheet with all the data and pictures so I can add them in. Not sure how I go about sharing it on the forum but I can at least get my ISP to host and provide a URL for people to download.

my dear friend mycarsavw currently uses a site (editgrid) for the high mileage club thing - perhaps you could drop him a PM/Email, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to assist...

    Hi royster.

I know this is two years old now, but did you ever complete that spreadsheet. I found one on another forum, but it's very incomplete (maybe it was your file originally).

I would be so good to get this stuff on a Wiki, so that it's there for all to find and complete.
