    Hi All,

I have a 2004 Audi A6 Avant TDi with multitronic gearbox that has been diagnosed (with an Audi dealer) with an ECU issue. The suggested fix for this is ECU replacement, but in Ireland Audi want €1200 for just the ECU.

Having found a company called ECUTesting.com offering to refurb my ECU for £250 I thought it was worth cheching out. They say it does not need programming after installation, and comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Has anyone used these guys or had a refurb'd ECU installed?

I've just realised that I've posted elsewhere that I used another company to repair my multitronic ECU, but it was, in fact, ECU Testing.

Ours was rebuilt 9 months ago now - touchwood, it's going great guns. Very quick turnround time as well. My local indie removed & replaced the ECU, and changed the transmission fluid at the same time. All in, I think it cost about £500.

Thanks for that. I'll probably give them a go ... especially as the alternative is €1200 for just the part from a dealer!
