    Hi Everyone

I am looking at getting a golf 2.0 140 bhp would like to know what you get round town and on a run mpg.
As i have a pug 2.0 136 bhp at moment and get 42 round town and 47/52 on a run.
Has anyone had any problems with the DPF and are they maintaince free and any other problems .

    Cheers

    Welcome to the forum guys.

I get 41mpg which is 70% local running. I've never had my DPF light on but I have had the cooling fan running after I switch off which is supposed to be while its doing a regen.

You might want to put your car spec in your signature.

On my 13 mile trek to work on dual carriageway and minor roads if i keep the rpm around 2k i get roughly 56mpg. Motorway at speed can range anywhere between 40-50mpg. Qiuck urban driving roughly 45mpg.

Can't speak for the 2.0, but I'm now getting mid 50s on the 1.6 in an estate version... I take it the thing has regen'd a few times (considering I've now done 6.5k miles!) but other than a drop in mpg for 15 minutes or so (assuming that's what it's up to!) I can't say I've noticed it doing it...

But the mk6 does. I'm getting 50-51mpg running to work and back (70 miles round trip) albeit with not much stop start. I have seen almost 70mpg (on the computer readout) sat at motorway limit on a 120 mile run as well so I'm pretty pleased with that
