I finished applying the vinyl tape to my window trims the other night and have managed to get a couple of pictures.

I took these this afternoon just a short drive from my house. I had a little play in photoshop with a couple but they still show the black window trims and how much a difference it makes to the look of the car.

It's a bit rough in one or two places if you get right up close but I'm going to order wider tape for the grill and another roll for tidying up the window trims so hopefully the practice I've had means I can do a better job.

Darich, those rear light units look like they need the blacking out treatment to get the dark destroyer look complete, but please don't paint the wheels black

I personally am not sure about the process, I think that the chrome breaks up the colour of the bodywork and gives it that 'richness' look to it. This is only my opion and if we all thought the same, there would be not individuality

fourrings....I know what you mean about the rear lights. however, I'm not a fan of black lights. Many years ago I did use a spray on my rear lights (I think it was called "turbo tint") to just darken them slightly....almost giving a smoked look.
I may do something similar but not planned at the moment.
As for the wheels.....they're staying as they are.....if and when I get them refurbed, I might go for a slightly darker shade but it'll never be black.

A4........appreciate that everyone likes different things.....but sometimes seeing something you previously weren't sure about can show you that it looks good. Personally I prefer the black trim and am glad I've done it.

Don't ever go black, I've done it, liked them for a month then suddenly noticed all the boy racers with black wheels, hate them now lol.

Item no 110879671141 Seller is abstractt-man. The tape is 50mm wide and you do need to trim but it's better to trim than have tape too narrow.
There are parts where it's better being wide because you don't need to go so tight on the corners - you can take advantage of the wider tape. There are also bits where you can tuck it underneath the chrome trim.

I'd suggest getting the 30m roll instead of the 20m. It gives you spare if you make a mistake (I did and had to order another roll) and it's only a couple of extra quid.

And use a brand new blade.....the sharper the better. Otherwise it can snag the tape and tear it. But watch your paintwork because a sharp blade can easily scratch it.
