Fix my cigarette lighter

Hi,

A couple of months ago I pulled a charger out of my cig lighter and it got a little stuck. Once I eventually got it out it stopped working all together. I assume I have broken it but just thought I would get some advice before replacing it.


My model is an Audi A3 1.9 TDI on a 2007 reg. From looking on other posts it seems that the fuse is number 24 for the lighter. Is that correct? Also is the fuse the one that is located under the bonnet. I have had a look for another fuse board but can’t see anything.


The lighter still illuminates when the lights are on which makes me wonder if it is the fuse or not. Does anyone have any ideas?


If it is broken and I do have to replace it, does anyone have a good site/contact for a replacement?

There is a fuse panel on the end of the dash drivers side, the panel just pops of, check your handbook for the correct fuse.

The illumination runs of a different circuit so it will still light up.

Is it bent inside?

Depends on the unit fitted, but some can be removed from the top side & some have to be removed from the underside, which means removing the console, armrest (if fitted) & few other things & best place for another, well audi would be a good start or 2nd user from the usual suspects.
