    Hi,
Is is hard top retrofit an auto dimming rearview mirror in a Touran (05)?
Will a mirror from a Mk5 golf fit?
I may do it with a W8 light conversion, witha conversion loom that I make my self!
Also, what up-grades can you do via vag-com?
Im having auto lock and having the DRL (headlights on) done next week at Midland VW, so what else can I get him to do?

Hi mate yes the mk5 golf dimming mirror and rain sensor will fit your car, unsure if the wiring is there or not, if not then get it from a scraped mk5, as for coding you can do the following (most will depend on which CCM and CECM you have fitted)

    see you home lights
    USA indicators
    Static corner fog lights
    hazard braking
headlights on only at speeds above 70 mph (off road of course)
    chirp on lock and unlock
    brightness of footwell lights

Thats all i can think of off the top of my head, but there are more will have a look at the long coding for my golf and see what else ive programmed on mine

Thanks, I need to put some fogs on, Im saving for the bits and the loom from Kulftec (??spelling on that!!)
    What are the USA indicators?
Ill have a look for someone breaking a MK5, I put a MK4 auto mirror in my Leon, but I want sure if the Mk5 had the same mirror as my Ran, as the rans mirror fixes on the roof. Can you get them without the rain sensor?

    The Kufatec looms are great
USA indicators is when you set the front indicators to light at say 50% brightness

you wont be able to use the whole mirror but im sure you can use just the mirror and then fit it to the part of yours that comes down from the roof mate, if you get one and wanna hand wiring it i can check the wiring on my 5 to see whats live and earth mate
