Audi A2 Tdi 54 plate engine problems

Hi

I have some serious problems with my Audi A2 1.4 Tdi 2004/54 plate.

Basically the engine light is on and the code is V157 - Throttle Housing which needs replacing - where can i get this part cheap - shall i try a breakers?

Also i have had the cambelt and water pump changed and the mechnaic told me that the tooth belt was previously out of line - which he has done a pucker job on.

The car seems very sluggish to drive as if their is no turbo - it barely makes it up a hill in 2nd gear!! Why is this?

Finally the sunroof rail guides and cables need replacing my mechanic friend says it has to be done by Audi as they have the tools

gsf should do throttle valve
you will need a diag test done to see if any faults on engine for turbo but it may be throttle valve
why do the sunroof guides etc need replacing? not a common problem

When you say your mechanic changed the timing belt and waterpump - had the toothed belt jumped? Regards poor performance, if changing or cleaning the throttle body clears error but doesn't improve performance - then the MAF would be the next thing to look at.

Regards opensky sunroof problems. As long as your A2 is less than 10 years old, has audi service history, take it to either Worthing Audi or Rinner in Germany. It's a big job from what I've read.
