Well its not really a how to, more just some advice and something for the search engine to pick up

My g/fs A3 1.6 non aircon had a reallly bad misting problem and water was litterly driping off the windows all the time and as soon as you wiped them it would mist up again even with blowers on full and was pretty dangerous as it was difficult to see. As there was no obvious signs of wet or leaks in the car i decied to look at the pollen filter

I was shocked when i pulled it out, it was black - like a used diesel oil filter black and clearly blocked up.
Chucked a new one in and instantly the blowers where twice as strong and blowing hotter dryer air into the car. 10 minutes later the windows where dry and have not remisted up since even in the cold.

The filter was very easy to change and was only £9.99 from halfords

If you open the bonnet and look at the scuttle pannel at the bootom of the windscreen on the passanger side you will see the outline of a flap.

Pull the engine bay rubber strip up for that section and lift said flap up, you will see the pollen filter

Its held in by a frame and at the front theres two small clips that you lever towards you and lift the frame up

Put the new filter in and reverse process

The best 9.99 i have spent in a long time, for the 8L A3 its 006 code filter from Halfords

Is that for an activated carbon one? If so, it's not a bad price as they're £15 at ecp.

I accidentally got a non-carbon one last time I changed mine - every passing truck / sewage works stank - changed it for a carbon one which was much better.
