    Hi Guys

    Audi A4 2.0 TDi

Was driving along the dual carrigae way when i heard a clunk followed by the car going into limp mode and not letting me get into 4th gear or rev more than 2-3000rpm

The more i reved the car i could hear a loud whoosing or whistling noise like the wind on a really windy night.

Managed to get the car home in limp mode and ive tried to start it and its still doing the same thing.

Any ideas, hoping its not major, like gearbox or clutch

    Thanks all.

Turbo related? Have you had a glance under the bonnet? Fingers crossed.

Checked this morning, still the same problem.

Looked under the bonnet and could'nt see any signs of damage, no smoke or anything like that coming from the exhaust, could this be a faulty turbo, if so how much am i looking at to repair?

Get a fault code scan to pinpoint the problem as you could replace the turbo and the problem clould still be there.

I noticed something hanging down under the car when i went to work but didnt get a chance to look, got it booked in for 2.30 to have codes read, hopefully something like a hose and not the turbo, thinking about it i didnt have any smoke which is suggestive of a faulty turbo.

Dad has checked what was hanging down and its just a wire no hoses etc.

I swaying towards air intake to the turbo has split? Sound feasible?

No it is more likely to be the pressure hose

    Thanks kenney

I have just had it read and got code 00665 Boost pressure regulation, if this a hose then good.

Does anyone have a diagram of the engine which i can use to check relevant hoses?/

    Cheers
