    Hi, could anyone give me an answer of when the timing belt needs to be replaced, by my manual it seems to be 100k miles?. Thanks in advance for any response

    VW say every four years or 93K miles for the belt and the tensioner at 186K miles, quite odd. I tend to find the four year rule covers most average users.

    I've heard that its 75K miles?? can anyone confirm it's 100K abouts?

    I have the same, 2.0 170 TDI May 2008. Milage just over 20k this seems a little early for a belt change ??
