One issue resolved and another issue gained....

the MRS opened by boot and banged into the grill out the house which has kindly left me 2 scratches parallel to one another that go from under the number plate to just the bottom of the edge of the boot near the bumper.

I have used T-CUT and turtle wax polish to try an restore this damage, it doesnt look too bad, but i can still see 2 white lines going down the boot - more annoying than anything especially as i didnt even cause the damage.

Any ideas members? I've seen a touch up pen in halfords that look quite good but wasnt sure on my paint colour at the time as their were so many shades of black for Audis - so i come home an found the base plate in the boot which gave me a paint code number of: LZ9Y/ LZ9Y & N1R/ QE

Any ideas as to what this code means in paint colour terms?

If you go on ebay you can buy lacquer pens which make an invisible repair, someone keyed the door on my Audi, and I went across it with compound and colour magic but I still couldnt get the scratch out.
I used a lacquer pen, which resembles a small marker pen they are 99p on ebay and it made an invisible repair.

Ah yes, seen loads now... I read the description of them an it sounds as though it's just a clear coat that is filled into the scratch? Will this require me to apply my paint colour : phantom black over the top to make it even

Never used this method before hence lack of knowledge
    Thanks

My car is a very dark green almost black. and when it was scratched the scratch looked white where it had gone through the clear coat.
I went over it with the pen and the scratch instantly disappeared.
It would depend if the scratch has gone through to the metal.

If it doesn't work it wouldn't matter as you can wipe it straight off without it affecting the paintwork.

Also I tried it on my fathers audi, he has a metallic dark red one and it got rid of 90% of the scratch.

If you buy through ebay make sure that you do your search with "lowest price plus p&p" and you should get one with delivery for under a quid.
