Hey there! Just bought new car, Passat 2.0 tdi sport with dvd sat nav and 6 cd changer in glove box. Now on the head unit there is an option for a/v in, but cannot find a connection anywhere in the car. Will I have to have the head unit out to connect direct to the unit or am I missing summat. Thanks. Matt

You'll need this http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/conne...a-p-26850.html check on eBay cos they sell cheaper there sometimes, and also now you have the part number google it incase somewhere else has it cheaper, but D/S are normally the cheapest and as a customer I found them 100% to deal with.

If you want a cheaper option http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/conne...or-p-8770.html this just provides 3.5mm headphone socket support, but you may need to lose the CD changer use with both of these as it's the in plug for it that you plug into, and then they con the radio that it has a CD changer installed, you can get an adapter as well so you can link multiple devices to the radio, up to 6 iirc, all selected with the CD button on the radio.

Hang the changer, it holds 6 disc's, a 2GB media player will hold around 80, no contest, anyway do the pics it will help.

Been battling against the wife to convince her that this is the way forward. She drives the car more than me and says "we dont need it"! BUT I HAVE AN IPHONE AND WANT TO USE IT!!!! might buy an aftermarket headunit with bluetooth fitted so can connect music and phone that way. Any suggestions on a good quality aftermarket head unit? Seen a few on ebay but with non-descript brand names. Are they any good or do i think sod it and buy a sony (or equally good) unit that cost a bomb?!

You can make the jack input cable really cheap and keep your CD changer, see https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...719#post348719
