Hi Guys, i've got a 2004 A3 3.2 DSG Quattro with the following error on VCDS, the error started out as the Traction light coming on intermittantly but now it seems to be on 90% of the time.

Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 1K0-907-379-MK60-A.lbl
    Part No: 1K0 907 379 E
    Component: ESP ALLRAD MK60 0103
    Coding: 0021128
    Shop #: WSC 06435 000 00000
    VCID: 346C0054686179BC
    1 Fault Found:
01324 - Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492)
    004 -- No Signal/Communication

Also shows:- 22-AWD -- Status: Sporadic communication error 1000

Am i right in thinking this could be a bad connection on the haldex controller?? (or worse still a dead haldex ecu) Where is the haldex ecu (i.e connectors etc) located??

    Cheers in advance

    Neil

Thanks for the reply and sorry i haven't got back on here sooner, although that was what i was dreading as they arent cheap. I got the car up on axle stands at the weekend and removed the Haldex ECU (easy job really, just a little fiddly). All the connections seem ok with no corrosion or dirt in\on them. Before i go and splash out on a new Haldex ECU is there anyway i can prove that the communication lines to the ECU are ok and that it isnt a problem somewhere in the loom?? Is it possible to test each of the pins with a multimeter (i.e look for voltage on the Can bus wires etc, i've seen a pinout diagram for the connector somewhere online)

You can’t check them unless you have something like VAS PC and even that is inconclusive, with the fault code you have all you can do is fit a new unit and hope it cures it.
