    Hi all,

My car has an Concert II CD Player audio-system.
I would prefer to have MP3 playing feature too.

What is the cheapest way to achieve this? As I have MFSW I would like to retain MFSW features, so I guess I should look for AUDI brand player (not for FM transmitter or replacing AUDI radio with another band model) .

    Your advices are welcome.
    Thank you.

Don't know about cheapest but have just fitted a Dension Gateway 300 to my B7 with Concert II. Takes a little to get use to controls, it takes on the functions of the CD Changer.
I don't have the MFSW but it can be controlled entirely from the radio/CD controls.
Had a few issues initially due to faulty USB stick, but now works well. You need the CAN text version GW33AC1 or GW33AC2.

Functionality can be viewed on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQvhIPLuY8E.

Hunt around, plenty on this site to help with install and advise on purchasing correct version.

Thank you very much for your replies. YouTube was very helpful and it gave me the confidence that it works with MFSW too. Any hyperlink with installation/programming instructions is highly welcome.

    Thanks so much.

I used this guide to help me take out the radio and install the wiring for my Dension 100.

There is a guide on this site https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...ll+dension+100.

Albeit for a Dension 100 in a B6, still useful. You need a couple of keys to remove the Concert II, a couple of quid, 8mm socket to remove glovebox fasteners, and I velcroed the Dension behind the radio. There is an earth lead that HAS to be attached for the system to work.

I run the cable into the top right hand compartment of glovebox and it sits in there loose. If you want to fit the little USB stick holder, I would advise going into the main compartment below, but you'll find your own best way.

Shark90 on this site sells them I believe. If you don't want the iPod connector you can save yourself £30 on some sites, so £130 ish plus p&P.

    Thank you for your help.
I am planning to order: GATEWAY FIVE new model that is available here:
    http://www.dension.com/product/iPod-...s/gateway-five
This one has a bluetooth capability too.

However, I am confused on the connector model.
I have AUDI 2005 TDI 2.0 with Concert II but I see two connector models available:
    http://www.dension.com/downloads?fie...e=User%20guide

    1) Dual CAN with Mini ISO connector
    2) Dual CAN with Quadlock connector

Can someone advice please which one should I choose?

    Many thanks

Honestly the best thing to do would be to remove the radio and take a quick picture of the connector on the back. Generally the II is ISO and the II+ are quadlock but its not always easy to tell the exact version of each model so best to be save and just remove the stereo anyway.

2005 car will not be Quadlock - That didnt appear until late 2006 when the Concert II+ was introduced.

Old Concert II will be the ISO type connectors.
