    Hi,
Does anyone know if a 4 spoke steering wheel from a 2004 Passat will fit a Mk4 Golf?
If so will a 4 spoke airbag from a mk4 golf fit this passat steering wheel?

    Sorry if it sounds complicated.

    Cheers

Possibly, I would need to know the chassis number of both cars and the part numbers of both air bags.

I don't know what passat the steering wheel came of only that it was a 2004.
I will probably forget this idea. It's just that i'm looking for a leather steering wheel and was hoping to utilise my existing air bag off my golf rather than buy a new one.

    Thanks for you help.

Give me the wheel part number and your chassis number and I can work it out from there.

    Hi!

I have a similar question, but it concerns newer cars, I'd like to put an R32 MK5 multifunction steering wheel into an 3C Passat...The Passat and Golf (standard multifunction) streering wheels looks identical (on the outside at least), so I tought that it may fit...Does anybody know anything about this?

    Chassis No 3C Passat: WVWZZZ3CZ8E021731
    Chassis No MK5 R32: WVWZZZ1KZ7W097322

    Cheers!

It will probably fit but I don't think the controls will work. Multifunction steering wheels have their own control unit so if your passat doesn't have a multifunction steering wheel it won't have the control unit and wiring.

    Jim.
My Passat does have a Multi function steering wheel...its the standard leather one, http://personbilar.volkswagen.se/med...lery_20485.jpg

And I want to replace it with this:
    http://www.tmtuning.com/HOME/mediena...542_sw-230.jpg -but one with multifunction....

So, I'm not worried about the buttons, I think that they'll work, the question is if the wheel it self will fit, andif the airbag fits in the wheel...=)

Yes, I'm sure the wheel will fit. Both cars have the same diameter steering shaft. From what I can see in the pictures, the airbag should fit OK too.

    Good luck - Jim.
