Wipers not working -help please

Hi all,

The wipers on my 2004 vw passat tdi are not working at all, completely dead..
I checked the fuses at side of dash and relays,think the wiper one is 370 but all ok..
Done a search on here and then removed the linkage and motor thinking this was the problem and tested both and seem to be working fine,,,
I then took the steering wheel off and checked the wiper stalk switch and its ok too..
Anyone able to help as I run out of ideas

Have you checked the wiper relays on the relay plate under the dash.

hi, there are some behind the lights switch, i removed the panel and checked grey relay 370 (i think thats the wiper one) but its seems fine when i tested it..

Wiper relay is 377, its black and double sized.

hi Jim where's the 377 relay located as i have checked the relays and do not see a 377

thats missing from this car, just purchased the car at auction and was told it lay up for 6 months prior... asked mechanics who told me it was the motor or linkage that goes.. and turns out that someone pinched the relay...

Nothing surprises me anymore in the wonderful world of buying
used cars . Whats the overall condition like and was it a bargain?

im sure these relays are not that expensive, im sure il get one from a scrapyard

Very clean car Jim, its 105k on it, 100bhp, give 2700 for it..

About a tenner, i would imagine.

£2.7k is not too bad for a good'un, that's £650 less than a private
sale, and a grand down on dealer prices, so ya did alright.

The 100break is a nice driver, especially round town and if you
need any more power they can be mapped to a safe 130.
