The upper speakers in both sides of the front door aren't working, just wondered if it could be a fuse or something? P.S- I don't mean the 'tweeters' right at the top.
    Wonder if someone knows, thanks.

Strange that both should pack up at the same time, i dont think there is a fuse for them, if it was me id take the door card off and if you can try another speaker connected to the wires for the one that doesnt work, that way you will tell if its the speaker or the wiring

For them both not to work could it be a wire at the back of the radio? And I haven't got a clue how to start taking things apart, might try an auto electrician.
    Thanks for that Phil.

ALL installations just have the + and - feed for the L&R and the RL&RR speakers from the back of the radio, it is then filtered in the door to the respective speaker, ie, tweeter, mid range and bass so for the L & R mid range speaker to go at the same time is very unusual.
Did you feed a very loud signal for a long time which might have zapped the speakers, or a capacitor/coil for the speaker filter in the door.
Will look up ElsaWin for you tonight.

    It's a 56 plate, dec 06

is it possible that there's no speakers there? It's hard to see behind the 'mesh'

I looked on another forum and someone mentioned that the mid range speakers were discontinued on the 2006 mk v!
