Audi A4 Tiptronic Gearbox problem

Hi

I own a Audi A4 1.9 TDI with a 6 speed Tiptronic gearbox. The gearbox has recently started to jutter/jerk when changing gears or when I come to a stand still e.g to a give way. The car also jumps when setting off from drive.

After lots of reading it seems its a common problem and mainly occurs when a car hits 70,000 miles plus. Is there anyone else experiencing this issue?

I contacted Audi UK and they said they were not aware of the issue. I took the car to a reputable transmission speacialist and noticed 3 Audi A4's in their garage. The mechanice said they were experiencing the exact issue as mine and that it was a common issue. They were getting a couple in every week. He said "We now fix these for fun"

Audi said they have not had any complaints which I don't believe.

Watch Dog may take action if they receive further complaints.

So if you're experiencing the same report the problem.

A brand new Gear Box costs approx £4,000 and a refurbished approx £1800

Would also be good to know if any one with a different type of Audi is experiencing the same issue. Such as with an Audi TT, Q7 etc

Update: The boss Paul called me back and said he would sort the car for me for. Booking it in back today.
