Hi everyone. I jus bought an mkv armrest for my car and i managed to succesfully take off my old cup holder, but then realised the armrest wnt fit without takin off the entire console.

Does anybody have an installation guide or links to any thread on hw to install mk5 armrest? I am stuck pls help.

Ps i bought mine off a breaker, so no fitting guide.

    Hi Phil,

i'm picking up a MKV Golf GT (170) Sport on Friday, full leather interior but sadly no armrest which was a big disapointment as my current Golf has one and i'll miss it. The sales bod said he'd keep an eye out for one me but i have my doubts. Where's the best place to pickone up?

Ebay, but expect to pay about £120 for it mate, ive seen the leather ones go for less than the cloth ones tho TBH

thanks for that, had a look but can't find a leather one at the moment.
is it simply enough to install or would i have to take it to a VW garage?

Does anyone know if the shade of leather changed between the Mk5 and Mk6?? I've been offered a Mk6 2010 armrest kit with leather top for my 2008 Mk5 that I've just bought but don't know the leather codes or if VW changed them.

    Can anyone advise?
