So i just take the glove box out and i will find it? is this also how you take the heater motor out? because i have had water leaking through the air vents directly into the heater motor so i might need to change that aswell.

Found the resistor! Very easy job its under the glove box and goes into the heater with wires you simply unplug it an then unclip it off its connector!

Cut the thermal fuse off the resistor pack. Buy a fuse from Maplin for about £2.00 and solder it on. Leave a bit of the old fuse legs to solder to. It is harder to solder to the resistor terminals. OR buy a new resistor pack from VW for about £30.00.

Hi, I have taken out the glovebox of my 07 Passat but cannot find the resistor! (Heater only works on 4.) Please can you tell me where it is? I've taken a couple of photos if someone could show me. Many thanks!
