Daily I average 42mpg. I enjoy driving and usually with heavy accelerating. I do head on a 180 mile round trip some weekends, best I got was 58mpg.

My uncle did a 350 mile round trip down to ireland and back one weekend in his 140CR saloon. On the way down he gunned it and got 39mpg. On the way home he kept the current mpg on the MFD and averaged 67 mpg!!

Only on my 5th tankfull but the fuel computer on mine seems to over read by around 3-4mpg.

Changing jobs soon which is why I bought the Passat.

So my current 20 mile round trip through town centres and B roads I'm getting around 46mpg genuine.

My new job I've been to a few times and that's a 55 mile round trip, 10 miles A road and 45 mile Motorway. Fuel computer is saying 58-59mpg so I'm expecting mid 50's genuine which for a 140 with auto box I'm very pleased with.
Now I'm not going to run it on fumes so 700 miles between fill ups will still be excellent I think.

Economy is working out at double what my last car did.

    Cheers

My 2008 bluemotion estate is averaging 54mpg and mostly town driving

most I have seem is 70mpg after a single carriageway run of 80 miles following traffic at 55-60mph

most I have had from a tank on this basis is 700 which for mainly town is impressive for such a large car.

Fortunately I don't have to do mega journeys unlike in my old job in a 170 tdi Audi a4 which averaged 43mpg!

I drive to work and its 22 miles each way on the motorway. With cruise set at 70 I get between 56 and 58 mpg and my averga eover 1600 miles is 49mpg. Not bad for a 140 CR DPF!!!

the highest mpg ive achieved in my 140PD estate is 56mpg (according to the MFD) that was a trip from liverpool to leicester, mainly motorway doing about 60-65mph. I was a bit dissapointed lol, was hoping for 60+, so gunned it on the way home and still got 43mpg, so i spose its not that bad...
