    Hello,

Does anybody knows is it a good idea fuel injectors with Bosch part number 0280 150 902 to be replaced with Bosch part number 0280 150 905?

    OEM 037906031C Bosch 0280150902 205cc/min 15.9ohm
    OEM 037906031D Bosch 0280150905 255cc/min 15.9ohm

Both of them are designed for 3 bar fuel pressure and have same resistance of 15.9 ohm.The only one difference is the flow rate per minute.

I wonder how it will affect the acceleration, speed and engine performance in general? Is it possible to be increased?

Can you be more specific on what you're doing, and what the part numbers relate to?

Yes,I'll try to.My present fuel injectors leak so they must be replaced with new ones.
When I start searching for replacement injectors in Bosch catalogue I saw that there is another part number almost the same as the part number of mine injectors. The only one difference is the higher flow rate-255cc/min.Mine injectors have 205cc/min flow rate.
So if I'll choose to install those with the higer flow rate will it increse the horse power and acceleration?

On diesels it generally doesn't without increasing the fuelling somehow; electrically or mechanically depending on the type of pump, but getting enough air in is generally more of an issue, even on turbocharged engines and particularly on 8 valve.

I don't know a lot about petrol injection systems though; but I imagine similar rules will apply if not worse so being generally naturally aspirated. My mate's old Saab 95 has the Bosch k-tronic system, and increasing the fuelling just makes it run too rich and coke up.

Someone else may provide better information though; I don't understand petrols with their stoichiometric ratios and distributor coils and all that paganism!

I hope somebody who have an experience with increasing the horse power of petrol engines could tell more about that.
