    I retrofitted a RNS 510 in a 2006 Passat B6, Originally there was a C revision GW
updated it today to a Q version and sorts of different faults appeared !

Had to update the GW beacuse i lost the settings for the AUx heater and the Telephone in MFD

The RNS isn't communicating. Is the unit fully functional aside from the MDF display? Do you have any adapters, like VIM or similar, in-between the RNS unit and the wiring adapter?

Did the RNS communicate before the GW was updated?

    Hi

The RNS did communicate before i updated the GW fully
functional with nav and audio in the MFD display

No adapters between the rns and cable loom

I can not access adress 18 "Aux Heater " in VCDS

I have a Basic phone module under the pass seat , I can`t access this either

In the "hidden" menu in the RNS it says that there is no comm on CAN

I recently tried a 1KO 907 530 AA GW in the car, Then most functions
were ok except for the IMMO.

Some nice ppl explained for me that the IMMO was in the GW and not
in the instrument cluster on a 3C

I never thought mounting a stock radio should be so though.

Very frustrating, I feel like pulling my hair out :-) lol

All answers and tips are highly appreciated

Could it be that the F9827F4E400202002002 code is incorrect. The other modules will need the correct code for VCDS to "see" them. Is this the same code that was in the original module.

    Hi

The long coding in the new GW and the old C revision cannot be the same

The old C revision is 7 Bit and the new Q version is 10 Bit,
but i will give it a go to try

But i have made sure that the installation list is the same is the
same in the new as the old one.

    Hi again

After checking out if there are some differences in my GW
    I found this ...

Under the extras it seems there is an ekstra "function" in
    the old C GW ?

I added a pic form the C and the Q Version

Also i checked, The C version is 7 Bit and the Q version is 10 Bit

Does someone know what this " Ekstra Geraet 76796" is ?

Still frustrated, maybe even more than before .

The early versions are 7 Byte and the later are 10 Byte as you say. So what was your original 7 byte code. I am no expert but I know how the bytes and bits work. The problem is finding out exactly what each bit controls on an individual car. It varies from model to model and with year. Sorry can't translate the german code.

    From your original coding.
Your car is a 4 door, left hand drive, 4 wheel drive, manual ,VW saloon with electric front seats, tyre pressure monitoring, park assist and auxillary heating. It does not have climate control, sun roof, trailer control or Multi function steering wheel or xenon head lights.
Am I close with any of this.

Your new code says it is a left hand drive manual 4 door, 4 wheel drive saloon. BUT no electric front seats, a trailer control is fitted, Climate control is present. Tyre pressure monitoring is not present and Auxillary heating is not present.

Let me know what specification your car really is. I know some of my guesses will be wrong because the available code function information is not always correct.
