Got to love the red arrows, I'm fortunate enough to live in Bournemouth and they are down every summer for the free air show, and get up the cliff top to watch as many of their their performances as poss.... makes me get goose bumps every time I see them................. I'm just a big kid really!

To top it off their flight path during the display means they turn to go back to the sea front over my house, truely amazing

I love the way the 'posh chap' on the airshow PA says, 'and now ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to present, The Red Arrows' and at that precise moment they come out of nowhere at full chat (and scare the bejeezus out of anyone not paying attention).

Always sends a shiver down my spine. Awesome!

    That is awesome!!

Didn't hear the announcer this year at Sunderland as I watched it from the the top of one of the hills nearby (Stewy, that's cleadon hill - great vantage point and much less crowded) so just did the jumping out of my skin bit.

I grew up on Portland in Dorset and I'll never forget hearing them and running to the 'back field' with my dad (when he wasn't at sea) to watch them practise. I remember it so clearly - I don't know how often they practised there, but it was a regular occurence!

We had them give us a private flypast a few years ago. We were just leaving the kids' playground, when I heard fast jets flying low, which we don't hear since they shut RAF Upper Heyford, and then had 5 fly right over us, followed a few seconds later by the other 5 about 100 yards away.

When we got home about 15 minutes later, they were live on the TV giving the Queen a flypast for the Falklands 25th anniversary.

Red Devils are a good watch also, these are a parachute regiment, I saw them at Teignmouth last summer.

A few years before we were down that way as well, Paignton, and the Red Arrows were doing a show in Torquay, from our campsite it was awesome, they came out our way to turn at low level, to see it at the same height as a London tower block is amazing, especially in formation, which two or three were doing at the time, sadly it was unexpected and the camera battery died, leaving me with only a couple of pics.
