MPG 1.8T Auto

hi,
anyone know what the average mpg i should get out of a passat 1.8t auto estate, i seem to be getting around 24-28mpg if driven carefully wondering if this is about right

sounds fine fella, mine averages the same, got 36mpg on the motorway, once.

Agreed - it's normal. It's a great candidate for a LPG conversion though, I've heard the Powershift grants are available again saving about £800 on the cost. Beats having diesel power IMHO.

hmmm, i've always liked the idea of LPG but i have 2 reasons against, i use the channel tunnel alot and you can't take LPG'd vehicles on there and my average mileage is around 3-4000 miles per year so i struggle to justify the initial outlay.
