I’m wondering if anybody has encountered this problem.

I have a 2003 A4 1.9TDI and when I switch on my front fog lights the horn sounds at varying intervals until I switch the fog lights off.

I’m reluctant to take my car to the Audi Dealer, as they will charge me a small fortune to have a look at this problem and would appreciate any help form the forum users in trying to solve it myself.

    Regards

    Liam

They probably share a common earth somewhere under the bumper and it is that I'd look at.

    Check for...

    Damaged, split & frayed cables
    Something disconnected
    Dirty and or corroded connections.

Trace the cable(s) back from the fog lights and back from the horns and look / check for all of the above.

    Good luck.

Thanks BigCol I will check the cables out at the weekend.

Also RickT I would be very interested to hear if you can track down that post regarding the faulty light switch.
