It seems to be the season for Audi air con problems! Well my unit gave up the ghost sometime ago. I took it to my local auto sparks and they found that my compressor would not engage. On further inspection he said that the compressor would power from an external power source ,i.e not the car dc supply? Does that mean the control assy is knaffed as a pose to the compressor? I was then given a quote of £480 for a new compressor, dryer and re-gas. To be honest that's an ok deal compared to ******* prices. :1zhelp:

I have a defunct a/c compressor also so I have been looking around on ebay Germany.I have found 1 for 300 euros(incl. VAT and delivery) new aftermarket.Its in Germany so I have asked them to confirm its the right one.

Might worth a try for you to check out. They are APS Germany.

thanks for the info! I'm still researching the ongoing fault of my compressor. It seems as though I have a supply voltage to the compressor but alas it will not activate. I've heard that if the compressor is stripped down, then there could be some corroded wires or terminals? Need to get the thing off first!
