The american car and driver are quoting a 0-60 of the B8 A4 2.0T Quattro saloon at - 5.7 secs! :aargh4:
See http://www.caranddriver.com/buying_guide/audi/a4/2009_audi_a4_sedan/2009_audi_a4_2_0t_quattro_short_take_road_test+t-specs+page-3.html
So does that follow that the FWD version will do it in 5.9 secs?
Looking at the Audi brochure its says the FWD is 0.2 secs behind the Quattro, so my theory would seem to right!

As everything is bigger and better in the good old US of A, that may also apply to stopwatches and timing systems.......bigger and much faster! :biglaugh:
UK engines will be fed with a High Octane petrol, not that Junk that the use in the US, so would expect UK times to be faster.
IMO the FWD 2.0TFSI struggles to get its power down and out the wheels without ESP cutting in and stealing it all.
It wouldnt suprise me if it was that quick. The 160 1.8 is much faster than those 8. something figures Audi claim to 60. Filled up with 99RON the car is certainly responsive but its very easy to make the front wheels spin in my car so I can only imagine thats worse on the FWD 2.0T
A guy on audiforums.com was reporting the same sort of figures with some fancy GPS unit he has plugged into his car and they have horrible petrol and claim to get those figures

its so quick it time travels between 0-5mph.......
that american site thinks it can get from 0-60mph quicker than it can get from 5-60mph - it quotes a 7.2 second 5mph to 60 mph time....
if audi don't use high grade fuel and a professional driver in establishing these times they would have to be insane (which i'm sure they're not)
i used to race 750cc bikes and a few times for giggles we put the data loggers on our cars to see what heroes we were at standing starts - i can still smell those clutches .Have to say nobody got anywhere near the claimed figures - most of us were a good 1- 1.5secs slower - the autos were far closer to the claimed times than manuals probably a measure of our lack of skill :)
You also have to remember that these 0-60 figures are coming from the same nation that saved us from the Germans and their Enigma machine with Jon Bon Jovi

did anyone of you wich owns a 2.0tfsi quattro "raced" against A4 b8 or A5 3.0tdi quattro ? I have the felling that 2.0 tfsi can be as fast as 3.0tdi untill one moment.
I was seeing that in every test from germany, 3.0tdi can not be as fast as Audi said (0-62mph-5.9sec A5, and 6.1 sec A4) and the real feagures are around 6.4 sec from 0 to 62mph.
another question: is 2.0tfsi an oil burner? I heard rumours that this engine is consuming a litle bit to much oil.
