Hi all - hoping some of you folks can help with an issue I seem to have with my 2007 Audi A8 3.0TDI and the MMI/Car Software. Having recently purchased the car a few weeks ago I`ve checked the MMI software version which appears to be the latest version of the MMI (SW: D3-HU 55.7.0 0835 ?) but noticed a few things which don`t seem to be right:

1) The car seems to have been set-up as though it is a LHD EURO car as when I open the driver door, the passenger side is shown as open on the display and vice versa. Also the mpg readings are not in mpg but Litres (?). Is there a way to change this (via the hidden menu etc) or do I need VCDS?

2) I definitely know the car is prepped with Bluetooth but it doesn`t seem to be able to connect at all to my iphone 7 (my phone doesn`t even find the car Bluetooth in list of devices) and I have heard that following a software update, sometimes you lose the Bluetooth functionality?.

Many thanks in advance for any help :1zhelp:

regarding 1, in vcds you need to change coding on door module.

You need to check the part number and firmware level of the phone ECU with VCDS or the 'Hidden red Screen'. You may have either a 'Handyvorb2' 4E0 862 335 [latest firmware 1130] or a 'BTA' 4F1 862 335 [latest firmware 1120].

The MMI update to 5570 is on a separate CD to the BT ECU updates. So just because you're on MMI 5570, doesn't mean your BT ECU has been correctly updated. The BT ECU updates were so complicated the CD had to be run twice.
