Hi
need to get a new clutch and flywheel for my Passat 2.0tdi it's a 6 speed with a CBAB engine, I've seen the full kit on eBay says it's genuine Sachs for just over &300 has anybody had any experience buying from eBay, I've been told Sachs don't do a full clutch and flywheel kit for the Passat with a CBAB engine yet they are advertised on eBay, are these real kits ? Anybody bought one and can recommend a supplier.
thanks and regards

The Passat is a transverse installation and the A4 longitudinal. There is no way on earth that full kit comes with the 240-mm DMF at £300. No the Sachs kit 3000 990 081 does not come with a flywheel BUT certain heavy duty versions do

Hi
the clutch kit is listed complete, Sachs clutch 240mm dual mass flywheel even claims all new bolts are included to reassemble, do you think it's not genuine parts then. What sort of price should I be looking at for the full genuine clutch kit and flywheel?
thanks

PM me the link if you don't want to share it. Sachs do not make a DMF for the CBAB engine EXCEPT for models with the stop start system or the heady duty Xtend versions, they do offer a clutch which is designed to work with the LUK flywheel but I prefer to just fit LUK if I can't get Sachs although Sachs would always be my preferred choice when possible. Give me the cars reg number on the PM.

Hi crasher
just found this clutch kit on dark side development Darkside Developments - Sachs 2.0 TDi 6 Speed 02Q Dual Mass Flywheel and Clutch Kit (http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/sachs-2-0-tdi-6-speed-02q-dual-mass-flywheel-and-clutch-kit.html), it claims it's for a Passat 2.0 tdi with the CBAB engine. Any advice appreciated

The kit from Darkside is the Sachs XTEND heavy duty and should be fitted using a pretensioning system Clutches for Passenger Cars - SACHS (http://www.zf.com/brands/en_de/sachs/products_sachs/products_pc_sachs/clutches_chlutch_kits_xtend/clutches_clutch_kits_xtend_1.html)
Using your VIN, FI suggestion says that you need flywheel 03G 105 266 BN (Sachs 2294 000 113) or 03L 105 266 BM (LUK 415 0431 10) and yes you did read that correctly, all of a sudden, a Sachs for the manual appears out of the blue using your VIN but when I guessed at the car it didn’t list one…. computers! It does not matter which you use as long as the clutch is compatible so for me, Sachs.
From ECP this is Sachs Dual Mass Flywheel (http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/336440740)
The LUK version is LUK Dual Mass Flywheel (http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/336440850)
Then the clutch choices are
Sachs for Sachs flywheel VW 03G 141 015 L (Sachs 3000 970 004) Sachs Clutch Kit (http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/641442060)
This appears to come with the crank bolts
LUK for Sachs flywheel VW 03G 141 015 L (LUK 624 3230 09) LUK Clutch Kit (http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/641442069)
LUK for LUK flywheel VW 022 141 015 S (LUK 624 3180 09) LUK Clutch Kit (http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/641442030)
Release bearing VW 0A5 141 671 F (LUK 510 0177 10) (Sachs 3182 654 150) Sachs seems to be all ECP have and obviously it makes sense that the parts match, I have just ordered one to send to a customer in Dubai Sachs Concentric Slave Cylinder (http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/645440010)
