Had the A7 a couple of weeks now and very pleased with it. I've noticed when manoeuvring at low speed, there's a very pronounced rumbling. A bit of googling suggested it may be down to the Quattro system, but the comments I found related to other models.
Is it something I need to get looked at, or is it in fact one of those 'they all do that' things. (Car is a 65plate with 5k)

Maybe the tyres rumbling as in tyre noise

If you go on say asda tryes com , put in your tyre size and check out the DB ( decibels) your tyres make compared to others

It's only when I'm turning, so not the tyres

I get the same on mine (16 plate, now done 10k), most noticeable when turning out of my driveway and office car park - it seems to diminish after 5/10 minutes...

I find the road surface makes the biggest difference, on some it will be whisper quiet and on other surfaces even at low speed it can be pretty loud, almost like a rumbling sound.

I think I have the Quattro rumbling when I have full lock on and moving really slowly.

That's what we first described, rather than noise from the road surface - the issue is not helped by the A7 having a fairly big turning circle!
