Water getting into the Oil from the filer cap?

Hi,

It would appear there is water / moisture getting into my oil fill cap.

I dont think its the head that is the problem. But possibly the rubber washer / seal on the oil cap and on the one that sits between the oil fill and enginge block.

Is this a know issue?

so, there is whitish emulsion on your oil filler cap ?
do you do mainly short journeys ?

There was but it was completley removed and now clean.

condensation, thats whats probably your problem. moisture gets in your engine and doesn't get chance to dry out. cars used for long runs don';t get this, just cars used for short journeys. as long as you are not losing coolant then you have nothing to fear, just monitor it, keep cleaning it and try to get out for a drive every so often.
