OK....I'm up for some berating here as I did look across this forum for previously posted threads relating to the poor position of being unable to pair a phone with a BT installed unit but I was bogged down with 56 returned threads bearing 'bluetooth pairing' and gave up.
The FPO has recently purchased an A3 2011 with Chorus Radio/CD unit and pre-fitted Fiscon BT unit. I managed to pair my own phone to test the functionality of the BT facility but when I tried to connect my wifes phones it was a non-starter 'unable to pair' despite the BT scan finding the Kufatec Fiscon signal/unit.
I've followed some threads advising the max number of paired phones has been reached and a reset is required to clear them out. I've managed to locate the Fiscon 'Quadlock?' unit having taken out the glove box. The advice simply guided readers to unplug, leave for 1 minute then reseat the interface and this will lose all the previously paired phones. Verdict..... Complete load of rubbish!, another try at pairing was a fail so now I need to look further afield.
Do I need to unplug a different interface behind the head unit to lose the previous pairings?,
Do I need to reset the Chorus unit? and if so I havent got a clue how to do that despite my searches/trawls (its out there but I just havent found it yet) so guidance here would be great.
Do I need to install vagcom on a laptop if i can get my hands on a copy to be able to apply factory reset on the Chorus head unit.
Do I just tell myself I'm beaten and take the car to a local audio specilist and hand over some hard earned cash and be done with it?
All responses, guidance and steering plus berating gladly accepted.... many thanks in advance
Cheers, Morgo444
