I have 2 young children and a 2008 VW Touran. I am not sure whether to tint the windows or buy sun shades. What do you think?
Should I tint the windows? It will cost £120 for tinting, plus an extra £45 per year for the 'modication' in my annual insurance
What % tint should I get?
Will I still need sun shades also, to block the sun from the kids eyes?
Will it make inside the car quite dark?
Will it affect the view while driving?
Or should I buy Sun Shades? The options are
Horrible kiddie shades / roller blinds with gaps letting sun through.... no.
Window Socks £34. Heard these fade and the fabric pulls.
WindowSox : sun protection for babies, infants & pets in the car (http://www.windowsox.co.uk/)
Solarplexius EUR 175. Expensive and probably easier to get tinting

VW Genuine Sunblinds £190. Expensive and not sure if the rear window is in 1 or 2 sections.

Sonniboys EUR 199. Expensive, but apparently good fit and don't need the clips well as the rim is made of rubber. They don't have tags so removable is a bit more difficult.
VW Touran Bj.2003- - windesa - Sonniboy Sunshades (http://sonniboy-auto-sichtschutz.de/shop/product_info.php?info=p47_VW-Touran--Bj-2003-.html&XTCsid=8tcu1ufdnkm5gndsrguggo42v6)
Vanstyle £90. Cheaper option, the rim is fabric, so it doesn't fit quite as easily as Sonniboys, but has tags so are easier to remove. Not sure if clips need to be glued in. <<<<<<<< Think this would be the best sun shade option for me.
UV Car Shades Set of 6 TOURAN, 5-door, 03-10 - Volkswagen VW Touran Van Accessories Interior Upgrades, VW Touran, Volkswagen VW Touran Van Accessories Side Rear Styling - Vanstyle (http://www.vanstyle.co.uk/shop/shades-touran-door-p-1144.html)
