If you have not had the injector recall done yet, all four injectors need changing under the recall as with the VW models using the BMN engine, it may be that the DPF pressure sensor is faulty or that the DPF is blocked and the EGT sensor may pick up when the other two are fixed. I am guessing that this vehicle has been re-mapped or fitted with a tuning box?

I'm not sure if the recall was done, it's also a standard 2.0 TDI 170 BHP.

I have just called Seat in Chilwell and they state that the car is affected by the recall and it has not been done yet. It is booked in 26/3 for the work to be done. The DPF is also being changed too under warranty. Lets see if that clears things up.

I hope so, that is about £2.5K worth of work at retail prices...

Right, after 3 weeks i got the car back todat and the EGT Sensor has been replaced,, 4 Injectors and wiring loom replaced. All in about £2k worth of work but the DPF light would never go out. They tried relentlessly to get the dpf regenerated and even SEAT were at a loss so their suggestion, (as originally thought) DPF needs replacing.

The warranty i have was with the garage i bought it from and everything is covered so they asked if i would like a new dpf (£1500) only for it to fail again in 100,000 miles time or would i like to have the DPF removed and vehicle remapped.

I went for the removal option and they used Gee Diesel in Hucknall and my honest opinion? its like a new car. Stonking performance (over the standard 170 bhp) and increased fuel economy. Emissions are fine too.

Why doesnt everyone get dpf ripped out! (£600).

All sorted now anyway and one very happy leon driver and its cost me £0.00.... Sorted.

Epic result man! I'm getting ready to get my dpf deleted and mapped up to stage 2 at either shark or amd but would much rather the <WHO?!?!> pay for it for me haha.

Get it on some rollers and get some figures up :) do u have any idea what it's running now?

Bear in mind that if you remove the dpf then you may possibly have issues if they change the mot rulings.

I'd hazard a guess at 180-190?
