Hi All,
Just when I was getting used to using Measuring Blocks, I find them greyed out on my Audi A4B8.
Does anyone know the LOC groups, in Adv Meas Blks so as to measure Fuel Trim.
The only info I can get on Adv Meas Blks is from Ross-Tech`s introduction page to Measuring Blocks.
Still being new to VCDS, I found Meas Blks really useful, Adv Meas Blks has me concerned in relation to what LOC numbers I may require for further testing.
All replies much welcomed. Thank you in advance

Hi John
Unfortunately the software I use will not allow me to extract the mvb values as it needs to be connected to the vehicle but all is not lost.
Use the obd function as fuel trim and lambda values will be displayed and you should be able to work out what's going on.

My guess is the engine you have uses the UDS protocol and does not have any "measuring blocks". In '08, the VAG people began the move to a new scheme known as UDS/ODX and that scheme does not have measuring groups and blocks. It has up to as many as 1024 live values that can be monitored. These are presented in the drop down window of the Advanced Measuring values. So, rather than blame the tool, write to our friends in the VAG group.
Having written all this, what exactly is the issue? Can you not see the live values in the advanced measuring values function? If not, then I have to ask, what version of VCDS and where did you buy your interface?
