Hi All,

This is probably a simple question. I have a 2002 A4 and the wipers are due a replacement. I removed the blade and wandered into Halfords trying to find my replacement parts, no such luck.

searching the forum i have read about aero blades.... upgrading to B7 style blades etc etc:aargh4:

can someone give me a definitive answer please? what do i need, where can i get it and how do i replace it. Surely its not that tricky?

Thanks :D

I changed my front wipers just a few weeks ago.

Sent the wife (whoops!) and she came back with wipers supposedly for an A4, the guy in the shop assured her they would fit. They didn't.

I ended up taking them back and just getting replacement rubbers for the existing (factory fitted) blades for about 6 quid (against nearly 20).

It's really easy to change the rubber bits over and I would suggest you give that a try, if you're not having any luck getting blades to fit.

By the way, they're 'normal' wiper blades - got 'aero' wipers on my Golf and to be honest I don't really see a great deal of difference between the two in terms of the job they do.

Hope this helps!:o

Had a similar problem on my '02 A4. They changed the wiper arms on the B6 at some point so the "Aero" blades that are for the B6 wont fit earlier models! Seems no one told Halfords, Bosch etc etc about this, only option is replacements from Audi or as previous post to replace the wiper rubbers. Other option is to buy later model wiper arms, but thats way too expensive to be sensible!!

The B6 A4 has its own quick release clip and the wipers can be bought from Audi at, from memory, about £14 each!!! I got a set from GSF and these are direct rplacements at the same cost for a pair as Audi charge for one wiper!!

The Aero wiprs swopped over, I believe in 2004.

http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ Got 54 branches nationwide and are good for genuine parts that cost less than dealers.

But I wanted to replace my rear wiper which looks like a normal wiper, but thinner as it sits in the plastic cover covering the arm, but have tried several different types to no avail. Might have to get one from the dealer.
